Description
Editan, also known as Hot Leaf, is a distinctive leafy vegetable with a mildly bitter, peppery taste, popular in Efik and Ibibio cuisine from Southeastern Nigeria.
It’s the star ingredient in traditional Editan Soup, typically prepared with assorted meats, fish, and cocoyam or other thickeners for a rich, hearty dish.
This dehydrated version preserves the leaf’s distinct flavor and nutrients while making it easy to store and use anytime.
Recipe tip: Rinse briefly before cooking to soften, then add to your simmering soup during the final stages.
